Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone. Im sorry this is a day late but I was a bit under the weather yesterday. I am much better now and was able to go see my precious girl today. Emery is doing great. She is still feeding from the bottle well but the breastfeeding is hit and miss. She is still slowly gaining weight and should be at her birth weight of 5lbs 1oz again soon. With Emery in the crib now we dont have to wait for the nurse to get her out and hold her. We can change her diapers which as been comical at times. She is so squirmy when she is awake. When Emery was in the incubator she wore only a diaper but now in the crib she is able to wear some of her cute clothes. Her hair is getting lighter each day. She was born with dark brown hair but now its changing to a light shade. We cant figure out if its blonde or red or strawberry blonde. Whatever color she will be beautiful.

Anyway, we are just so overwhelmed with all your thoughts and prayers for us. It has been difficult to leave her down there in the NICU while we go home to our beds. We know that the NICU is where she needs to be right now and we trust that the Lord has put her in strong, knowledgable hands. I am just so overwhelmed by your friendships and love and I pray that the Lord will bless each of you beyond your dreams in 2008.
